Leonard Santucci
 

Rev. Dr. Leonard Santucci is a man who can be described in many ways. He is a husband, father, theologian, preacher, teacher, workshop presenter and community activist.

Dr. Santucci received his Diploma in Arts & Science from the Bermuda College in 1984, and continued his education at Acadia University, Canada where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Sociology) in 1986 and a Master of Divinity and Graduate Diploma in Prison Ministry in 1989. In 1995 he received a Diploma in Diversity Skills Development from NTL and Bermuda College. In May of 1999 he completed the Doctorate in Ministry (Renewal of the Church for Mission) from Eastern Baptist Thological Seminary.

Dr. Santucci has done graduate work from the Masters of Science in Education (Counselling) from Indiana University, as well as, management training from the American Management Association International, Management Program. He is currently pursuing the Doctorate in Education (Administration and Supervision) from St. John's University in New York.

As an untiring individual Dr. Santucci, has served on some of the most prestigious Government Boards:

  • Chairman, Sports Development Council (1990)
  • Chairman, National Youth Council (1991-1993)
  • Commissioner, Archibald Commission (1991-19992)
  • Commissioner, Commission for Unity and Racial Equality (1995-1996)
  • Deputy Chairman, Crime Stoppers of Bermuda (1995-1996)
  • Chairman, Dellwood Middle School Board of Governors (1997-1998)
  • Development Co-ordinator at the Bermuda College.

Dr. Santucci has also served the religious community:

  • President, Bermuda Christian Ministerial Association (1993-1996)
  • President, AME Ministerial Alliance (1994-1998)

He currently functions as:

  • Pastor of Heard Chapel AME Church
